 BJP & LJP(RV)

Patna:Nitish Kumar has been the NDA chief minister for several years, is the CM face and will remain the CM, BJP spokesman and former union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said on Tuesday.“There is no vacancy for the CM’s post,” Prasad, the Patna Sahib MP, said at a media conference, while replying to RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, who released the joint manifesto of the opposition bloc earlier in the day.Citing the statement of Union home minister Amit Shah that the “NDA allies and elected MLAs would decide the CM”, Tejashwi had said the BJP was using Nitish Kumar as a puppet and will not make him CM in future.“BJP is using Nitish’s face and has kept him as a puppet in the NDA,” Tejashwi claimed.Prasad on the other hand said that over the past 11-12 years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as a brother to Nitish Kumar, firmly established his commitment to Bihar’s development.

“The pairing of PM Modi and CM Nitish is the rock-solid unity of the NDA. Tejashwi should take care of his own house; the posture of the Congress members on stage today, seen on TV, spoke volumes,” Prasad added.Union minister and LJP (RV) president Chirag Paswan said Tejashwi demands the announcement of the NDA’s CM candidate, and they have repeatedly said that Nitish Kumar will be the CM.Regarding Amit Shah’s earlier statement that the decision on the CM will be made in the legislature party meeting after winning the elections, Chirag says this has always been the democratic process.

“In a coalition government, all MLAs meet, so there is no controversy on this issue,” Chirag asserted.JD(U) spokesman Arvind Nishad said Tejashwi has nothing else in mind but only the CM’s post, while BJP spokesman Prasad said Tejashwi repeatedly questions Nitish Kumar. “Nitish Kumar has been the leader of the NDA for 20 years, and Bihar has progressed under his leadership. Nitish is the face of the NDA. He was our face in the past, is our face today, and will continue to be so in the future,” he said.
