NLCIL inaugurates facilities as part of Special Campaign 5.0

NLC India Ltd. (NLCIL) on Saturday (November 1, 2025) inaugurated various community welfare initiatives as part of the Special Campaign 5.0.

The new facilities, including a renovated walkers’ path and a state-of-the-art sports ground for the differently abled, were inaugurated by NLCIL Chairman and Managing Director Prasanna Kumar Motupalli. The initiatives marked the culmination of the month-long Special Campaign 5.0.

According to a press release, the Special Campaign 5.0 held from October 2 to 31 is aimed at improving efficiency, streamlining processes, and strengthening citizen-centric governance and fostering a culture of efficiency and accountability.

The sports ground includes facilities for archery, shotput, javelin, among others. Around 100 differently abled sportspersons participated. The CMD also inaugurated the renovated walkers’ path under the concept of “Waste to Wealth”, enhancing township infrastructure and strengthening public welfare measures. He also inaugurated renovated washrooms at the Nehru Park in Block 8.

Highlighting the achievements of the campaign, Mr. Motupalli said that a revenue of ₹6.22 crore was generated through the disposal of 1609 metric tonnes of scrap. The campaign also saw the cleaning of 180 sites across NLCIL.

Key digital governance reforms, including the Grievance Redressal Assistance Portal for Employees (GRAPE) and Centralised Assistance for Retired Employees (CARE), aimed at simplifying procedures and enhancing administrative transparency, were introduced as part of the campaign.
