Liverpool legend and former England midfielder Steven Gerrard ignored Mohamed Salah when asked to pick his three Premier League GOATs (Greatest Of All Time). In his list, Gerrard, however, included his former rivals Thierry Henry, Didier Drogba and Roy Keane. In the Premier League era, French forward Henry played for Arsenal, whereas Drogba and Keane represented Chelsea and Manchester United, respectively.

“Thierry Henry, Drogba for productivity, and probably go with Roy Keane," Gerrard said when asked to pick his three Premier League GOATs by ESPN UK.

The former England and Liverpool captain, though, included Salah in his list of three favourite wingers to watch in the world right now.

“In the world right now, wingers, Lamine Yamal (Barcelona), love watching him at the moment. Vinnie Junior (Real Madrid) and Mo Salah, obviously," Gerrard said.

Salah joined Liverpool from AS Roma ahead of the start of the 2017-18 season and since then has scored 185 goals in 289 Premier League matches. Overall he has 246 goals to his name in 403 matches for the Merseyside-based club.

The footballer from Egypt played a big role in Liverpool’s Premier League last season, and for finishing as top scorer, he also won the PFA Player of the Year award.

In the video, when asked to name three best midfielders in the world right now, the former Rangers coach mentioned 2024 Ballon d’Or winner Rodri, Liverpool’s Alexis McAllister and Vitinha’s name.

“I would say Rodri, Alexis McAllister, and I would say Vitinha for PSG."

Rodri plays for Manchester City in the Premier League, whereas McAllister is part of Liverpool’s squad. On the other hand, Vitinha represents PSG in Ligue 1.

Gerrard played a total of 504 matches in the Premier League for Liverpool from 1998 to 2015 and faced many great opponents. When asked to name the “three toughest players he played against", the 45-year-old said, “Claude Makélélé, Roy Keane and Patrick Vieira."

Makélélé represented Chelsea in the Premier League as a defensive midfielder, whereas Keane and Vieira played for Manchester United and Arsenal, respectively.

Gerrard also picked Paul Gascoigne, Alan Shearer and John Barnes as his three favourite England players ever.
