The Noblesville Fire Department in Indiana reported a chemical explosion on Thursday afternoon at 835 Wayne Street. The incident, which occurred around 1:15 pm local time, led to the immediate issuance of a shelter-in-place order for residents in the surrounding area. The advisory was confirmed through an official post on the department’s X (formerly Twitter) account.
Initial reports indicate that at least one man was injured in the explosion and has been transported to a local hospital for treatment. His current condition has not yet been publicly disclosed.
Emergency response teams from multiple agencies were dispatched to the scene, including units from Noblesville, Carmel, Westfield, Fishers, and the Hamilton County Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) team, according to WRTV.
