Regarded as the World Cup of fighting games, Evo brings together elite competitors from across the globe to battle for championships that test skill, discipline, and strategy.

Nodwin Gaming joins Evolution Championship Series.
NODWIN Gaming, a global leader in youth entertainment, gaming, and esports, has officially become a co-owner of the Evolution Championship Series, Evo, and will lead the next chapter of the world’s largest and longest-running fighting game festival.
Often regarded as the World Cup of fighting games, Evo gathers elite competitors from across the globe to contend for championships that test skill, discipline, and strategy at the highest level. The recent Evo in Las Vegas featured a prize pool of nearly INR 3 crore, with players from over 60 countries competing across 16 titles.

Beyond the US, Evo returned to Japan at Tokyo Big Sight, becoming the largest in-person tournament in the country’s history, with approximately 30,000 attendees. Evo will make its European debut at the Palais des Expos in Nice, France, on October 10-12, which has already set a record for registrations. The event series is expanding to Singapore in 2027.
For India, this development comes at a pivotal moment as the Government of India recently passed the Online Gaming Bill 2025, which recognizes esports as a distinct sport and paves the way for structured growth of the ecosystem. NODWIN Gaming’s leadership role in Evo highlights India’s position in the global esports landscape.
Akshat Rathee, Co-Founder and Managing Director of NODWIN Gaming, stated that Evo was built by a team whose authenticity and passion for the fighting game community are unmatched. He affirmed that they would continue Sony Interactive Entertainment’s (SIE) excellent work and honor the legacy of everyone who contributed to Evo, while opening the door for a new generation to experience its spirit.

NODWIN Gaming has a strong track record of hosting some of India’s biggest esports properties. Notably, it organizes the Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series (BGMS), India’s first-ever televised BGMI tournament, which has brought competitive mobile gaming into the mainstream and provided a platform for Indian athletes to showcase their skills on national television.
Rick Thiher, General Manager of Evo, noted that Evo has hosted record-setting events in the USA and Japan in recent years, and their upcoming premiere in France is already breaking European records. He mentioned that these latest partnerships, combined with ongoing support from global and regional partners, are accelerating Evo’s expansion from hosting renowned live events to serving as a nexus point for fighting game culture worldwide.
Evo’s global growth is driven by key partnerships that reinforce its status as a premier international competition. Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) will serve as a global sponsor through 2028, supporting PlayStation Tournaments and the fighting game community. Qiddiya, a global partner since 2024, has extended its commitment through 2027, while RTS, Evo’s long-standing operator, continues to ensure the championship’s competitive integrity and operational excellence. Combined with NODWIN Gaming’s expertise, these partnerships will help Evo expand into new regions, create engaging content, and deliver world-class experiences for athletes and fans alike.
