The husband of the woman in the Noida dowry death case, Vipin, was having an affair with a woman and was caught red-handed by his wife, Nikki, and his sister-in-law, sources told India Today TV.

In October last year, an FIR was filed in Noida after the girl with whom Vipin was having an affair alleged that he had beaten her when his wife caught them together. The FIR was based on her complaint, which accused Vipin of assault and exploitation.

NIKKI MURDER CASE

Nikki was taken to the Fortis Hospital on August 21 where the cause of the burns was written as a cylinder blast in the medical legal case.

However, when police reached the crime scene, no evidence of a cylinder blast was found. Instead, a thinner bottle and a lighter were recovered from the spot.

Now police will record the statement of the Fortis Hospital doctor to find out who gave the claim about the cylinder blast. Police will also take the hospital’s CCTV footage to see who were all present there.

Eyewitness Kanchan, the victim's sister, gave a statement that Nikki’s husband and in-laws set her on fire and fled. A neighbour named Devendra had taken her to the hospital.

Through the hospital’s CCTV, police will now verify who exactly took Nikki to the hospital.

In their statement to the police, the in-laws said they themselves had taken Nikki to the hospital. "If we had set her on fire, why would we take her to the hospital?," they asked.

Police also recorded Kanchan’s statement, in which she said that the assault video that went viral was from February 11. Police checked Kanchan’s mobile phone and found that the video she made of Nikki burning in the fire was recorded at 5:45 pm.

This means Nikki must have been set on fire at around 5:44 pm. Based on this timing, police will now use CCTV footage, call details record, and location data to determine where each family member was at that time.

The police are also examining all the videos that have gone viral on social media. Vipin’s father’s shop has CCTV cameras, but due to a power outage at that time, nothing was recorded.
