The Supreme Court on Monday took note of the rising dog bite cases in the national capital and called the situation “extremely grim". The apex directed the civic bodies in Delhi-NCR to round up stray dogs, sterilise them, and move them permanently to shelters within eight weeks. Let’s take a look at the top quotes:

– When Justice Pardiwala asked Solicitor General Tushar Mehta for his views, Mehta informed the court that a location in Delhi had been earmarked for relocating stray dogs. However, the plan was halted after animal rights activists secured a stay order.
