Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) President and former Union Minister Anbumani Ramadoss on Tuesday released a set of documents titled 'Vidiyal Yengey' (Where is the Light), countering the DMK's 'Vidiyal Payanam' campaign and alleging that the party has failed to fulfill 87 per cent of the promises it made during 2021 Assembly election.
Anbumani claimed that while Chief Minister MK Stalin says DMK has completed 98 per cent of the promises made in its 2021 election manifesto, his data shows otherwise.
"DMK made 505 promises in their Election Manifesto, but after 50 months, only 66 have been fulfilled and another 66 partially fulfilled. That is just 13 per cent of the promises," he said.
He further questioned the performance of the DMK government, noting that even a 35 per cent fulfillment rate is considered a pass mark.
"This is not my allegation alone; I carry documents based on evidence. It is shameful that CM Stalin is lying blatantly before the people of Tamil Nadu," Anbumani said.
As an example, he claimed DMK could have implemented the Right to Services Act instead of conducting name-specific camps, calling it a mockery of the government.
He also challenged DMK leaders to an open debate, questioning why promises remained unfulfilled despite holding power in the state and having MPs in both Houses over three consecutive elections.
