Varadarajan Sharma, a student of Paramacharya Gurukula Kendra, currently pursuing Advaita Vedanta Shastra at the National Sanskrit University (NSU) in Tirupati, has been conferred the title ‘Advaita Vedanta Ratna’ by Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham and Kanchi Veda Vedanta Shastra Sabha.
Kanchi Peethadhipathi (pontiff) Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswati Swamiji conferred the title and also advised him to continue his pursuit of Advaita Vedanta with diligence.
The honour was bestowed upon him in recognition of his outstanding performance in the renowned ‘Tenali Examination’ in Advaita Vedanta, his remarkable proficiency in Advaita Shastra and his deep commitment to scriptural learning.
NSU Vice-Chancellor (V-C) G.S.R. Krishnamurthy, Sri Paramacharya Gurukula Kendra director K. Ganapathi Bhatt and senior faculty members congratulated the student.
