New Delhi: NVIDIA has officially introduced its collectible cards, which are called GeForce Trading Cards: Series 1, with a limited edition collection celebrating key moments in GeForce history. These cards are completely free and are specially designed as collectibles instead of a commercial product. Several early teasers indicated 11 designs; NVIDIA has confirmed that the complete Series 1 includes 14 collectible cards, which feature:
- Legendary GeForce GPUs
- Classic PC games
- Famous NVIDIA technology demos
- Historic milestones from GeForce’s evolution
- A checklist card for collectors
Several of the previewed highlights include:
- NV1
- GeForce 3
- Chameleon tech demo
- Medusa tech demo
- Iconic PC gaming moments from GeForce history
Each card sports a premium PCB-inspired black design with GeForce branding and artwork on the front. Now the main question that many users are thinking about is why NVIDIA is doing this. So, industry observers believe this is a branding move.
Over the last few years, NVIDIA has become synonymous with AI accelerators, Data center GPUs, a trillion-dollar valuation, and Enterprise computing. The trading cards celebrate NVIDIA’s gaming heritage and are widely viewed as an effort to reconnect with the long-time GeForce enthusiasts via nostalgia instead of the latest hardware.
