A female student on Saturday set herself ablaze at a college in Odisha’s Balasore after allegedly facing sexual harassment by her head of department, who repeatedly threatened to destroy her future if she didn’t comply.

The student, who previously filed a complaint against the teacher and sought action, suffered 90 per cent burn injuries after allegedly self-immolating on the campus premises.
