Officials distribute essentials to flood victims in Eluru district

The officials of Revenue, K.R. Puram ITDA, Zilla Parishad, Civil Supplies and other departments distributed provisions and vegetables to flood victims in the submerged habitations at the Agency areas in Eluru district on Friday (August 22, 2025).

Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Srihari and K.R. Puram ITDA Project Officer Ramulu Naik visited the flood effected villages and assessed the situation. Mr. Naik reviewed sanitation, supply of drinking water, power supply in rehabilitation centres, food and other arrangements.

The ZP CEO visited the rehabilitation centre at Dacharam R&R Colony and Madikatla village and asked the villagers about distribution of food, drinking water and sanitation.

Mr. Srihari, along with other officers made door-to-door visits in Gommugudem and Lachigudem villages in Kukunur mandal, and distributed vegetables and other essentials to the villagers.

In Velerupadu mandal, the ITDA Project Officer visited Tekupalli, Perantallapalli, Kacharam and other villages and directed the sanitation staff to spray bleaching powder and take up anti-larva operations to prevent fevers and other communicable diseases in the flood-hit villages.
