Lindsey Vonn paused her Olympic training to share a heartfelt message after the news of designer Giorgio Armani’s death reached the fashion world. Vonn posted “RIP Giorgio” with a photo of the two of them on her Instagram.

Armani influenced her appearance and mood off the slopes, hence she had a profound sense of loss. The Armani Group said in Milan on September 4, 2025, that Giorgio Armani, age 91, had died. According to Armani's fashion house, a funeral chamber would be accessible on September 6 and 7, then a small ceremony would follow. Vonn’s simple words showed how much he meant to her, not just in sport, but in life too.
