OMC case: Srilakshmi files petition

HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh senior IAS officer Y Srilakshmi, an accused in the Obulapuram illegal mining case, urged Telangana HC to allow her criminal revision petition and free her from the case filed by CBI against her.

The hearing was inconclusive and would continue on Thursday.Senior counsel K Vivek Reddy argued the IAS officer's case before Justice K Lakshman and said that she did not violate the law at any stage while granting the mining lease to businessman-politician Gali Janardhan Reddy's Obulapuram mining company. The counsel found fault with CBI mentioning, in one of the paras in the charge sheet, that it views the role of Srilakshmi as "entirely suspicious".
