In a tragic incident that took place in Gujarat’s Rajkot, a 20-year-old student was killed after being hit by a BMW. The incident took place near Crystal Mall on Kalavad Road around 2:30 AM on Monday.

The victim, identified as Abhishek Nathani, was a student at Marwadi College. A dramatic CCTV footage of the incident is also going viral online.

The small clip shows the BMW racing at high speed moments before it rammed into his two-wheeler. The car also dragged the victim for a few metres before leaving him dead.

The impact was so severe that Abhishek sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene by emergency responders.

Following the accident, Abhishek’s elder brother, Keval Nathani, lodged a complaint at the Taluka Police Station.

The accused driver, identified as Atman Patel, has been arrested and booked under IPC Sections 106(1), 281, and relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.

Police said further investigation is underway to determine whether the driver was under the influence of alcohol or any other substance at the time of the crash.

The incident has sparked outrage among locals, who gathered at the site demanding strict punishment for the accused.
