Erika Kirk opened up about her children still asking about their father, two months after Charlie Kirk’s assassination at a Utah University event. She revealed that when her three-year-old daughter and one-year-old son ask to talk to their dad, she tells them to look up at the sky and speak to him, assuring he can still hear them.In a snippet of an interview with Fox News' Jesse Watters to be aired on November 5, Erika Kirk was seen tearing up as she described life after losing her husband. She spoke of how her daughter often wishes to meet her dad, saying she tells her that her father has “gone on a work trip with Jesus.”
The clip starts with interviewer Jesse Watters asking Erika, "You told your children that Charlie was gone on a work trip with Jesus.
Are they still asking where's daddy?" To the same Erika responds in a low tone, "Yes, my daughter continues to ask, but it's really sweet because I keep explaining to her a few things."She further continues, trying to hold back tears, "And I said, if you ever want to talk to Daddy, you just look up to sky and start talking to him. He can hear you."Breaking down in tear, she shares about her daughter wanting to meet her daddy as she adds, "You know daddy is in heaven.
She goes 'You think I can go sometime?' I said, baby, we will all go one day."Just last week, Erika posted a touching video of her daughter joyfully spotting a poster of her father outside the Turning Point USA headquarters. In the clip, the little girl exclaims, “I see Daddy!” A moment that deeply moved viewers across social media.
Erika reflected on Charlie’s enduring legacy in her caption as she wrote, “Her saying your name, as she witnesses all you’ve built and continue to build, proves that love never dies—it just changes form.
It breathes through our children. This is her legacy also.”Charlie Kirk, the American political activist and co-founder of Turning Point USA, was tragically assassinated during his “Prove Me Wrong” debate event at Utah Valley University on September 10. He served as the organization’s executive director, dedicating his career to promoting conservative values among young Americans.
