One Maoist killed in Narayanpur

At least one Maoist was killed in an anti-Naxal operation conducted along the Dantewada-Narayanpur border, said the police on Friday. (September 5, 2025)

A police statement added that based on an intelligence about presence of Maoists in the East Bastar Division area of Narayanpur-Dantewada border, a search operation has been started by joint teams of security forces. A woman Maoist was killed in the operation, which has not been called off yet.

“During the operation today, dated 05/09/2025, intermittent encounters are going on between security forces and Maoists.  In the search operation so far, the body of one female Maoist, .303 Rifle, 2 BGL launcher weapons and other daily useful items have been recovered from the encounter site,” the statement added.
