Nita Ambani highlights the value of daughters at Reliance Diwali, calling her granddaughters the Lakshmi of the house in a heartfelt message

Founder Chairperson of Reliance Foundation Nita Ambani delivered a heartfelt message on the value of daughters during the recent Diwali function held for Reliance on October 17.

She made the remark while addressing the crowd on stage, accompanied by her granddaughters Aadiya Shakti and Veda. Referring to them, she said, “Humari ladkiyaan hi humare ghar ki Lakshmi hoti hain (Our daughters are the Lakshmi of the house)."

A video of the moment, showing Nita Ambani on stage with her granddaughters, has since been widely shared on social media. In the clip, she is seen speaking fondly of the two girls, drawing praise for her words.

Her comments were met with warm applause and are being seen as a strong message in support of gender equality and the respected role of daughters in Indian families. In Hindu belief, Goddess Lakshmi symbolises wealth, prosperity, and good fortune.

Dressed in a deep purple Banarasi saree with golden zari work and embroidered borders, Nita Ambani completed her festive look with gold temple jewellery, including a statement necklace, jhumkas, bangles, and a rose gajra in her hair. Her signature makeup included winged eyeliner, pink blush, nude lipstick and a red bindi.

The Diwali function was attended by Reliance Industries employees, along with Mukesh Ambani and other members of the Ambani family.
