Over 1,000 Hubballi students get Shriram Foundation scholarships

Shriram Finance Limited and Shriram Foundation distributed scholarships to over 1,000 students in Hubballi on Tuesday.

MLA Mahesh Tenginkai, who spoke on the occasion, urged the young students to make the best of the opportunity and excel in academics.

He asked them to become responsible citizens and give back to society in their own way. He said that the Shriram Group has been involved in such philanthropic activities since 2013.

Youth leader Vishal Abbayya called upon students to take inspiration from the charitable activities of the group.

State head Shivananda Savadatti delivered the introductory remarks about the Shriram Group and the scholarship programmes.

Subrahmanya Shirakol, customers of the institution, vehicle dealers, teachers, senior and junior officers and staff of the institution and others were present at the event organised at the Sawai Gandharva Hall, said a release.
