The BBC was set to air a new documentary on Ozzy Osbourne called ‘Coming Home’, but it was taken off the schedule only hours before its premiere. The channel said the decision was made after a request from Ozzy’s family.A BBC spokesperson said, “Our sympathies are with the Osbourne family at this difficult time,” a spokesperson said in a statement. “We are respecting the family’s wishes to wait a bit longer before airing this very special film.

The new [broadcast] date will be confirmed shortly.”The film was meant to be broadcast on BBC One and would have shown the final chapter of the Black Sabbath frontman’s life, with personal insights from his wife Sharon and children Jack and Kelly.

Ozzy passed away on July 22, just two weeks after reuniting with Black Sabbath for one last concert. The documentary had been in the works for a long time. It was first announced in 2022 under the title ‘Home to Roost’ and was planned as a TV series but delays due to Ozzy’s health issues later turned it into a feature-length film.

Produced by Expectation, the team behind Clarkson’s Farm, the documentary follows the Osbourne family as they prepare to return to the UK. BBC described it as an “intimate look” at the family’s journey.For now, the broadcast has only been delayed, and a new release date will be confirmed later.
