The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has invited online nominations for the Padma Awards to be presented during the Republic Day celebrations in 2027.
In a press release on Monday (May 25, 2026), Society for Employment and Training in Visakhapatnam (SETVIS) Chief Executive Officer M. Ramya said eligible individuals who had rendered distinguished service in fields such as arts, literature, education, sports, medicine, social service, science and engineering, public affairs, civil services, trade and industry could apply for the awards.
Applicants have been asked to submit their nominations only through the Rashtriya Puraskar Portal website at awards.gov.in.
Ms. Ramya said candidates should also send a photocopy of the online application, a one-page biodata and booklet details to the SETVIS office on or before June 3, 2026.
The documents should be submitted to the SETVIS office near Zilla Parishad Junction in Visakhapatnam, she said, appealing to eligible persons to complete the process within the stipulated deadline.
