Paige Lorenze, the fiancée of American tennis star Tommy Paul, has spoken out after the sudden death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, Kirk, 31, was shot in the neck while speaking at a public event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.
He later died in the hospital. The FBI confirmed that a manhunt for the shooter is still underway. The tragedy has shocked the United States, and Paige Lorenze shared an emotional message on Instagram, saying America is becoming “too divided and troubled.”

Paige Lorenze, who is also an influencer and entrepreneur, rarely speaks about politics. But the shooting of Charlie Kirk moved her to post a long message on Instagram. Speaking to her one million followers, she said, “Whatever Charlie Kirk’s views may have been, that doesn’t matter right now. What matters is keeping his family, especially his young children, in our prayers.”The 27-year-old also remembered the death of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska, who was killed in Charlotte, North Carolina, last month, as well as victims of other violent crimes in the country.

“Rest in peace Charlie Kirk, Iryna Zarutska, and every life lost to the brokenness in our system. I’m praying for more compassion, more humanity, and a future with less division,” Lorenze wrote.
She also asked her followers to reflect on their behavior. “If anyone here feels it’s acceptable to celebrate the death of another human being because of their political beliefs, you are part of the problem and I encourage you to unfollow me,” Lorenze added.

The shooting happened during a Turning Point USA Q&A event that Charlie Kirk was hosting as part of his “American Comeback Tour.” Police say the gunman opened fire in the middle of the session, hitting Kirk in the neck before escaping.
