Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif expressed confidence that the US-Iran deal will form a strong foundation for lasting regional peace.

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday claimed that a historic peace deal between the United States and Iran was within reach, and a final decision is likely to be reached within 24 hours.

“We are closer to a peace deal than ever before. With finalisation likely expected in the next 24 hours, Pakistan is preparing for the electronic signing of the peace deal immediately after, followed by technical-level talks next week," Sharif said on X.

He also thanked the United States and Iran for their commitment to the peace negotiations, expressing confidence that the deal will form a strong foundation for lasting regional peace.
