Palaniswami slams T.N. government over shortage of medical staff in State-run hospitals

AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Tuesday (June 24, 2025) criticised the DMK government over the alleged shortage of medical staff at Government Pentland Hospital in Vellore.

In a statement, Mr. Palaniswami said about 300 doctors and over 700 nurses were to be apppointed in various State-run hospitals across Tamil Nadu.

Earlier in the day, Mr. Palaniswami chaired a meeting of secretaries of the party’s 21 district units at the AIADMK head office in Chennai.

During the meeting, the members paid tributes to AIADMK legislator T.K. Amul Kandasamy who passed away last week.
