‘Palleku Podam’ launched in Kurnool district

As many as 79 designated officials visited one village each in Kurnool district, interacted with the villagers and offered instructions to resolve their problems as part of the ‘Palleku Podam’ initiative on Saturday.

In Parla village of Kallur mandal, Kurnool Collector P. Ranjith Basha sanctioned the completion of CC roads and a residential welfare school building, and a culvert construction during his visit. As part of the initiative, Mr. Ranjith Basha visited Parla village and inspected the Zilla Parishad High School, anganwadi centre, hospital, village secretariat and social welfare boys hostel, where he identified problems and sanctioned works to redress them.

At the Zilla Parishad School, the Collector sanctioned works for the construction of a compound wall and kitchen shed. Similarly, CC roads were sanctioned in the village apart from the completion of unfinished building works in the boys hostel.

Mr. Ranjith Basha asked officials to maintain quality in the food served to the children and to keep the toilets clean. He also directed medical officers to provide quality healthcare at the local hospital.
