Panic in Jind as masked bikers open fire at three locations

JIND: Panic triggered in Jind region after two unidentified bike borne miscreants fired at three places in Jind district on Tuesday late night. First, they reached at the sugar mill subsequently they fired three shots in the air at the Khatkar toll plaza.

Thereafter, they proceeded to a fertilizer and seed shop in Uchana Kalan, where they fired two more bullets. Both bullets hit the shop’s glass. One of the assailants also threatened the shop owner who was inside.The incident was captured on a CCTV camera installed outside the shop. The identities of the suspects have not yet been determined. A search is underway to locate them, said police.Shop owner Surender Garg stated that at the time of the incident, he was sitting in his shop as usual.

The attackers had their faces covered. “I had no enmity with anyone. I immediately informed the police. Upon receiving the information, DSP Sanjay, the Uchana police station in-charge, and the local post in-charge arrived at the scene and inspected the site,” he added.Local BJP MLA Devender Chaturbhuj Atri who rushed the spot after the incident stated that criminals must either give up crime or leave Haryana. Surender Garg is a former vice chairman of the market committee who was targeted by miscreants.

“ I asked the Jind superintendent of police to take a stern action against the culprits who terrorised the area. I assure the local traders that crime and criminals will not be allowed to flourish under any circumstances,” he added.MLA Atri said that their government and the chief minister have given strict instructions to the police to make Haryana crime-free. Criminals will not be spared. He gave a 100% assurance that the government stands with the traders.What happened under previous governments is in the past—now, under no circumstances will criminals be spared. Jail cells are ready for them, he added.
