Panneerselvam blames DMK regime over non-allotment of 500 MBBS seats

ADMK Workers’ Rights Retrieval Committee coordinator O. Panneerselvam on Saturday criticised the DMK regime for the National Medical Commission’s (NMC) refusal to sanction 500 additional medical seats (undergraduate) at the 10 recently opened medical colleges in the State.

In a statement, he said the NMC had cited lack of teaching faculty and infrastructure as reasons for the refusal. “This is precisely because of the DMK regime’s indifferent attitude,” he said, urging the State government to fill vacancies in the colleges and set right deficiencies in infrastructure.
