Pantry car worker held for dousing passenger with boiling water

The railway police have arrested Raghavendra Singh, a pantry car worker on the Netravati Express, after he allegedly doused a passenger with boiling water. The arrest was made at Thrissur on Friday following a complaint by passenger Abhishek Babu, 24, from Mumbai.

Babu sustained scald injuries after Raghavendra Singh allegedly poured boiling water on him. The incident stemmed from a dispute over change for a bottle of water.

Mr. Babu was admitted to a hospital at Thrissur. The police said they were investigating the incident.
