Comedian-actor Paritosh Tripathi and his wife, Meenakshi Chand, welcomed a baby girl on Friday. Announcing the delightful news, the Kapil Sharma Show fame shared a post on Instagram. It included a heartfelt poem, a Sanskrit shloka and a poster featuring a butterfly and text that read, “Welcome, baby girl. Born May 23, 2025. Paritosh & Meenakshi." The couple had announced the pregnancy last year in December.
In the poem, depicting his deep emotions, Paritosh Tripathi wrote, “Bahot bolne wala chupchap hai, barasti ankhein keh rahi, wo bitiya ka baap hai."
Fans and celebrities soon flooded the comment section with their heartfelt wishes for the new parents. Suyyash Rai wrote, “boht boht mubarak Mumma Papa ko aur dono parivaaron ko boht boht badhaaii." Surbhi Chandna, extending her wishes, commented, Wow, big congratulations," Falaq Naazz too congratulated the couple. Gautam Rode also joined them to write, “Bahut bahut Mubarak dono ko." Jaswir Kaur, Yukti Kapoor, Sanket Bhosale and many others also took to the comment section to shower love and blessings on the couple.
Paritosh Tripathi and Meenakshi announced their pregnancy on social media via a heartfelt post last year. In the post, Paritosh expressed his wish to be a father to a baby girl.
Paritosh, now a parent to a baby girl, once recalled how a poem which recited on the Father’s Day episode of Super Dance changed everything for him. The actor was the host of the show. In a chat with Hindustan Times, he shared, “Raaton raat meri zindagi badal gai, ussi se famous hua main. I was writing content and poems and reciting them as well. But the one that went viral was the recitation of poet late Om Vyas’s Pita during the Father’s Day episode in the TV show Super Dancer (2017). I am known as a comedian Mamaji but (after that rendition) people started taking me seriously. As an actor, I used to get lot of love but as a poet I get respect too."
Paritosh Tripathi rose to fame with his appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show. Later, he went on to make a mark with his acting skills, signing up for numerous films like Janhit Mein Jaari, Luv Ki Arrange Marriage and more.
