Prime Minister Narendra Modi will open the debate on the 150th anniversary of the Vande Mataram on Monday (December 8, 2025) in Lok Sabha. The Congress has fielded its Deputy Leader in the Lok Sabha Gaurav Gogoi, and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for the debate.
Two debates on the national song are scheduled to be held over the coming week in the two Houses of Parliament; the Rajya Sabha will begin debate on the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram on Tuesday (December 9, 2025).

The Lok Sabha will also take up the debate on election reforms, which will cover all aspects of the contentious subject, including the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls, on Tuesday (December 9, 2025) and Wednesday (December 10, 2025). The Rajya Sabha will take up the debate on election reforms on Wednesday (December 10, 2025) and Thursday (December 11, 2025).
On day 5, the Lok Sabha on Friday (December 5, 2025) passed the ‘Health Security se National Security Cess Bill, 2025,’.
