This time around, it was a mass online outrage containing former Twitch and Kick monikered star Zack "Asmongold”, recorded by political-analyst Ed Krassenstein, stepping his nerves.
The argument took a turn after a campus shooting happened in Utah with Charles Kirk, spawning a furious online exchange.
The Krassensteins Warn
On September 10, 2025, Brian Krassenstein posted screenshots of direct message threats that followed Kirk's death. He tagged the FBI, Director Kash Patel, and the official account of X, blaming people like Asmongold for promoting the hostility. As a sharp reply, Asmongold accused Brian of promoting political violence through his earlier online campaigns."You
thought you were cute with the 8647 tshirts and other coded calls for violence Now it's happening to you It's not going to stop, now it's only going to get worse, and no one should have any sympathy for you. Be safe!" Asmongold said, which only further infuriated tensions.` Brian retaliated by calling the streamer a "sick person" and stated he had forwarded his information to federal authorities.
Asmongold Denies Threat, Calls Out “Manipulation”
Further explaining his thought, the content creator refused to give space to the accusations and counter-accused the Krassensteins of purposely twisting his statements.
The creator wrote on X, "Trying to report me after I don't kowtow to your pathetic attempt at sympathy baiting after you've spent months advocating for political violence Who is this post even for? Everyone can see through such transparent manipulation"Many followers were stirred by Asmongold's comments; this whole incident was just one glaring example of the spilling over of online issues into political issues.
A Clash of Influence and Accountability
The feud now going on between Asmongold and the Krassenstein brothers really nurtures the doubt that this volatile marriage of gaming, politics, and free speech still exists on social media. With Ed Krassenstein's etched FBI report into the picture, questions are mounting concerning the truckload of respect that these agencies will gain for online disputes in the subsequent real-world violence. Asmongold, an established voice among the streaming community with millions of followers, keeps portraying the FBI report as a harassing tool to chill opposition. The Krassensteins, however, hold forth with their supposed story of accountability and safety in a heated political atmosphere.
