Patiala health department provides medical relief in flood affected villages

PATIALA: Patiala health department has set up Mobile Health Units and medical camps in the flood-affected villages, with all essential medicines readily available. Civil Surgeon Dr.

Jagpalinder Singh said that the Health Department is working round the clock to provide medical relief in flood-affected areas of Patiala district. He also urged residents to dial the emergency helpline 104 for any medical emergency.Dr. Jagpalinder Singh informed that the department has commenced outreach activities in the flood-hit villages near Rajpura through its Mobile Health Units. After the floodwaters receded, medical teams visited the villages of Jandi Mangoli and Untsar, where a total of 233 patients were treated.

Out of these, 145 patients were attended to in Jandi Mangoli and 88 patients in Untsar. Along with consultations, essential medicines were provided to support recovery and to prevent the spread of waterborne diseases.He further stated that today the Mobile Health Units are serving in the villages of Lachru and Chamaru. The Civil Surgeon reiterated that the Health Department remains fully committed to ensuring healthcare support in every affected village.
