Patna: A district judge’s court on Tuesday refused bail to Pradeep Kumar and Talebar Singh, security guards associated with tutor Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir.During the hearing, the court sought an updated case diary from the investigating agency before proceeding further.
The matter will now be heard on June 20.Khan Sir’s anticipatory bail plea is also scheduled to come up for hearing on June 20. Meanwhile, the court has continued its no-coercive-action order, providing temporary relief to the educator.The case relates to an alleged attack outside Khan Global Studies in Patna on June 2. Based on a complaint lodged by a member of the coaching institute’s management committee, Kadamkuan police station registered an FIR naming educator Roshan Anand, his brother Prince Yadav, Abhishek and several unidentified persons.The controversy deepened after Anand accused Khan Sir of being responsible for his brother’s death and demanded a CBI probe. The demand has also drawn political attention with leader of the opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav writing to CM Samrat Choudhary seeking a CBI investigation into the matter.In a parallel development, Nepal Police have detained five friends of Prince as part of the investigation into his suspicious death. According to Patna police sources, the detentions were made while investigators await the post-mortem report.
“The exact cause of the death will be known from the medical report,” a police officer said.Investigators in Nepal have also examined CCTV footage from the hotel where Prince was staying and seized several items from his room, including his mobile phone, medicines and other personal belongings, as part of the ongoing investigation.
