Patna travel surge: Air India, Air India Express add 166 extra weekly flights for Diwali & Chhath Puja

KOLKATA: Air India and its subsidiary, Air India Express, have announced the addition of 166 weekly flights to and from Patna to meet the increased travel demand during Diwali and Chhath Puja celebrations.

Starting from Oct 15 to Nov 2, 2025, Air India will introduce 114 additional flights, enhancing connectivity between major cities and Patna. These include 38 extra flights each from Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru to Patna. Air India Express will contribute with 52 additional flights from Oct 22 to Nov 3, 2025, comprising 26 flights each from Delhi and Bengaluru.

These additional flights are set to significantly bolster the existing schedule, which currently includes 42 weekly flights by Air India from Delhi and Mumbai, and 14 weekly flights by Air India Express from Delhi and Bengaluru. The enhanced flight schedule not only improves direct connectivity to Patna but also offers seamless connections via major hubs like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. This ensures that travelers can easily reach other parts of India and international destinations in the Middle East and Europe.
