Congress leader Pawan Khera’s wife was served a notice on Thursday (September 4, 2025) for being registered as a voter in more than one constituency, in Delhi and Telangana.
Mr. Khera received a notice on Tuesday (September 2, 2025) for being enrolled as a voter in the New Delhi and Jangpura Assembly constituencies in the national capital.
The Electoral Registration Officer of the New Delhi assembly constituency issued a notice to Mr. Khera’s wife, Kota Neelima, and shared a copy of it on X.
“As you may be aware, that being registered in the electoral roll of more than one constituency is a penal offence under the Representation of People Act, 1950. You are, therefore, directed to show cause as to why action should not be taken against you under said Act,” read the notice.
The notice said that she was registered as a voter in the New Delhi constituency and Khairtabad in Telangana. She has until 11 a.m. on September 10 to tender her reply.
Ms. Neelima is also a Congress party leader in Telangana.
