PD Act invoked against rowdy sheeter in Jagadgirigutta after repeated violent offences

The Cyberabad Police Commissioner invoked the Preventive Detention (PD) Act against a notorious rowdy sheeter from Jagadgirigutta police station, citing his continued involvement in grave and violent crimes.

The accused, Thanugundla Bala Showreddy alias Badsha, 21, a resident of Somaiah Nagar in Medchal-Malkajgiri district, has been linked to a series of serious offences, including murder and attempted murder. Police said he frequently roamed the locality with associates, carrying knives and picking quarrels with residents over minor issues to assert dominance. Those who resisted were assaulted and stabbed.
