Hyderabad-based Fabex Steel Structures has commissioned a ₹120 crore manufacturing unit in Chityal, here.

Set up as part of business expansion strategy, the facility spread across 40 acres for pre-engineered buildings and structural steel solutions has a capacity of 50,000 tonnes. It takes the company’s total capacity to 100,000 tonnes. Fabex’s first plant is in Vijayawada and caters to both domestic and export markets. There are plans to invest an additional ₹100 crore over the next 2–3 years to enhance manufacturing capabilities and drive innovation. The new unit will focus on producing pre-engineered buildings for industrial applications, including factories, warehouses, and logistics infrastructure, the company said on Monday in a release.

“The ₹100-crore follow-on investment will focus on automation, throughput enhancement and product diversification,” co-founder and MD Venu Chava said. With a combined capacity of 1,00,000 tonnes, the company has the scale to support multi-site PEB rollouts and turnkey design-to-installation projects across India and overseas. There are plans to diversify into new segments, said co-founder and CEO I V Ramana Raju.

Fabex, which clocked ₹463 crore revenue in 2024-25, employs 400 people and plans to double its workforce to 800 as operations ramp up. It is targeting ₹1,000 crore in revenue over three years.
