Ram Charan's upcoming film 'Peddi' is set to release its first single, 'Chikiri,' today. The musical track features a collaboration between AR Rahman and Mohit Chauhan. Janhvi Kapoor will portray a spirited village girl in the rural sports drama, directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The film, also starring Shiva Rajkumar and others, is slated for a March 27, 2026 release.
Ram Charan, who is currently busy with the shoot of his upcoming film 'Peddi', is gearing up to treat fans with the film's first single. The much-awaited musical number, titled 'Chikiri', will be unveiled today at 11:07 am, as confirmed by the makers.The film’s official handle dropped an intriguing announcement on Wednesday, teasing fans with the mysterious term "Chikiri." The caption read, "#WhatisChikiri? Know it tomorrow at 11.07 AM. The world will move to its beat and start vibing. #PEDDI GLOBAL RELEASE ON 27th MARCH, 2026."
AR Rahman and Mohit Chauhan team up for 'Peddi'
Ram Charan earlier shared a picture on social media featuring music maestro A.R. Rahman, singer Mohit Chauhan, and director Buchi Babu Sana, hinting at a major collaboration.
The actor captioned the post, "What’s cooking, guys?"—leaving fans speculating that Chauhan has lent his voice to the upcoming single.

This marks the first collaboration between AR Rahman and Ram Charan.
Janhvi Kapoor's new look
Before this announcement, the makers unveiled Janhvi Kapoor's first look from Peddi, where she will be seen portraying "Achiyyamma"—a bold and spirited village girl. The Bollywood actress is said to have a powerful and energetic role in this rural sports drama.
This will be her second Tollywood project.
About 'Peddi'
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi revolves around a cricket tournament set in a rural backdrop. Ram Charan will be seen in a rustic avatar, quite different from his previous roles. The ensemble cast includes Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, Jagapathi Babu, and others in key roles.Recently, Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor were spotted shooting a song sequence in Sri Lanka. The makers also shared a post with cinematographer Rathnavelu and director Buchi Babu Sana standing near a scenic railway tunnel.The film will hit the theatres on March 27, 2026.
