Celebrated filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has given high praise to the debut single 'Chikiri Chikiri' from the highly anticipated film 'Peddi,' starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor. He highlighted Ram Charan’s compelling screen presence and lauded director Buchi Babu Sana for showcasing the star's innate charm without excessive frills.
Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma recently shared his reaction to the first single from Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor's upcoming pan-India film 'Peddi.' The song, titled 'Chikiri Chikiri,' composed by AR Rahman and sung by Mohit Chauhan, has been receiving love for its lively and energetic vibes.

Taking to his X handle, the 'Shiva' director heaped praise on the track, appreciating how it showcased Ram Charan's screen presence. "The true purpose of every craft in cinema, be it direction, music, cinematography, etc., should be only to elevate the HERO. After a long time, I saw @AlwaysRamCharan in his most raw, real, and explosive form in the #peddi song Chikiri Chikiri," he wrote.
RGV lauds Buchi Babu's directorial vision

RGV also applauded the director, Buchi Babu Sana, who managed to put the focus squarely on the star rather than overwhelming the visuals with excessive production.
"Hey @BuchiBabuSena, kudos to you for understanding that a star shines brightest when stripped of unnecessary glitter, not drowned in massive sets, overblown production design, or a speck between hundreds of dancers… You put the focus where it should be… on the star himself," he further added.
About 'Peddi'
The song 'Chikiri Chikiri' includes AR Rahman's lively composition and Mohit Chauhan's dynamic vocals. The track captures Ram Charan in a rustic, mass-appeal avatar that fans have long been waiting to see.
The movie is a sports action drama that features the 'RRR' star in a rugged and muscular fit. He is seen playing cricket and featured in some scenes indulging in wrestling in the teaser released earlier.Apart from Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, the film also stars Shiva Rajkumar, Divyenndu Sharma, and Jagapathi Babu in key roles.The movie is set to hit the big screens, coinciding with Ram Charan's birthday on March 27, 2026.
