Jake Paul says he’s nervous but ready for his biggest challenge yet, a fight with Gervonta “Tank” Davis on November 14, 2025, at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. Speaking to TMZ Sports on Wednesday, October 22, Paul revealed he’ll soon be training with Shakur Stevenson, the lightweight champion known for his slick defense and skill.

Jake Paul said Shakur Stevenson will be sparring with him in the coming days to help him adjust to Davis’s movement and speed. “Internally, I’m the most scared going into a fight that I’ve ever been,” Paul told TMZ Sports.“Being vulnerable for a second, this is scary. It’s keeping me up at night.”

Stevenson’s experience fighting top lightweights makes him an ideal partner as Paul gears up for his toughest test yet.

Paul also shared that he’s bringing in Raymond Ford and Montana Love to help fine-tune his technique. Both are smaller and faster boxers similar in style to Gervonta Davis which Paul says will help him adjust to Tank’s explosive pace. “I’m working on walking Tank into a knockout like I’ve done with other opponents,” Paul said confidently.

Jake Paul admitted that this fight is pushing him to rethink his approach. He said he’s losing some muscle weight to gain more speed and agility against the smaller, faster Davis.“I don’t need to be the biggest guy,” Paul said. “I need to be the fastest and smartest.” According to TalkSport, the fight will happen at a catchweight since Paul usually fights around 195 pounds while Davis competes near 135 pounds.Despite the size difference, Paul said he’s not underestimating Davis. “Tank is quick and explosive, but I’m preparing for everything,” he said. The Ohio-born boxer added that fear keeps him focused and driven. “It’s scary, but that’s what pushes me,” Paul said. “People doubt me, and I’m going to prove a lot of them wrong.”The Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis fight will headline November 14 at Kaseya Center, and fans are calling it one of the most talked-about boxing events of 2025.
