Petro-chemicals stakeholders told to prepare revised draft for development in Visakhapatnam-Kakinada mandals

Visakhapatnam-Kakinada Petro-Chemicals, Petroleum Investment Region Urban Development Authority (VK PCPIR UDA) Chairman K.S. Viswanath asked all the stakeholders including Kakinada district authorities, A.P. Industrial Infrastructure Corporation and Pithapuram Area Development Authority (PADA) to gear up to prepare a revised draft plan and development plan of the region. 

The PCPIR spread over 640 square kilometres in ten mandals of Visakhapatnam, Anakapalii and Kakinada districts, includes Kakinada Special Economic Zone, which falls in U. Kothapalli and Thondangi mandals in Kakinada district.

In a virtual meeting with the stakeholders attended by Kakinada District Collector Sagili Shan Mohan on September 4, Mr. Viswanath said that a perspective plan has been prepared for the next three decades. 

“The stakeholders are expected to gear up to prepare the revised draft plan-2041 and Development Plan-2041 of the region,” Mr. Viswanath said.

Pithapuram Urban Development Authority Vice-Chairman Chaitya Varshini, A.P. Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Zonal Manager A. Ramana Reddy and other officials were present.
