Global star Ram Charan is working with 'Uppena' fame director Buchi Babu Sana on their upcoming rural sports drama film 'Peddi'. The movie is currently in the production phase and the director recently shared a picture with the 'RRR' star on social media.Director and actor pose for a smileOn his Instagram, the director posted a relaxed picture of the two side by side. Buchi Babu Sana is seen wearing a maroon shirt and Ram Charan is seen donning a casual white t-shirt. Both appear cheerful, smiling at the camera. The two are seen sitting casually on the plastic chairs, commonly used for sets, in what looks to be a neighbourhood background.

The film's female lead Janhvi Kapoor also commented and dropped a red heart and cheering emojis in response to the post. 'Peddi', which marks Janhvi's second Telugu film after her debut with Jr NTR’s 'Devara'. About 'Peddi''Peddi' is a rural drama centred around sports and society. In the teaser released earlier, Ram Charan is seen portraying a rugged, rooted character and will be seen in two distinct athletic roles as he is playing cricket and is also involved in wrestling which has a raw and intense look in the film with long hair, a thick beard, and a nose ring.

The film also features Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu and 'Mirzapur' fame Divyenndu, who are expected to play key roles.

The score of the film is composed by musical genius AR Rahman.The movie is set to release on March 27, 2026, coinciding with Ram Charan's birthday. The pan-India film will be released in multiple languages.
