Andhra Pradesh continued to reel under intense heat on Friday, with Piduguralla of Palnadu district recording 45.9°C, the highest maximum temperature in the State, according to Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) Managing Director Prakhar Jain.

Mr. Jain said severe heat conditions prevailed across 252 mandals in 20 districts, where the mercury level crossed 41° C.
