Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the national celebration marking the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the Statue of Unity in Gujarat on Friday. The day, observed as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day), will feature a series of ceremonial events honouring India's first Home Minister.

PM Modi arrived at the Statue of Unity at 8 am and offered prayers and paid floral tributes to Sardar Patel. This will be followed by the Ekta Diwas Samaroh, a showcase of India's unity, discipline, and cultural diversity.
