Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Bhutan on November 11-12.

The Prime Minister’s visit to the Himalayan nation coincides with the 70th birthday of Jigme Singye Wangchuck, the fourth King of Bhutan and father of the current monarch, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, sources told CNN-News 18.

He might further witness the launch of infrastructure projects and take part in cultural programmes during the visit.

As per Bhutanese media outlet Kuensel, PM Modi will be the guest of honour at celebrations marking the monarch’s 70th birthday. He is also expected to inaugurate Punatsangchhu-II Hydropower Project.
