PM Modi to visit Manipur tomorrow, first time since 2023 violence

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Manipur tomorrow, for the first time since violence erupted in 2023, claiming over 200 lives. For over two years, Opposition has targetted the PM for not paying a visit to review the situation in the state marred by ethnic clashes in the northeastern Indian state.

Besides Manipur, the PM will also visit other northeastern states, including Mizoram and Assam. He will then head to West Bengal and poll-bound Bihar.

In Manipur, PM will lay foundation stone of multiple development projects worth over Rs 7,300 crore at Churachandpur at around 12:30 PM. He will also address the gathering on the occasion. Further, he will inaugurate various projects worth over Rs 1,200 crore at Imphal, at around 2:30 PM and address a public function.
