The 192-year-old Purushottam Narayan Gadgil (PNG) Saraf and Jewellers is all set to enter Hubballi market with its new multi-storey store at Dajibanpet in the central business district of the city with the formal inauguration scheduled on September 4.
Popularly known as PNG Jewellers, the firm was first set up in Sangli in Maharashtra. It later expanded its business to other places.
Addressing presspersons in Hubballi on Monday, PNG Jewellers partner Vasudev Gadgil said that the Hubballi store is their 13th in the country and the fourth in Karnataka.
“We already have stores in Belagavi, Vijayapura and Jamkhandi. We offer the best quality ornaments in gold and diamond. We are known for a variety of intricate designs. We also have new designs for the millenials,” he said.
Partners Tejas Gadgil and Tanmay Gadgil said that keeping in mind the requirements of Gen Z, they will soon be launching new designs on social media platforms.
To a query, they said that they have invested in a store as Indian customers are more comfortable in checking designs and personally feel ornaments before buying them.
Art gallery
The 7,000 sq ft spacious store in Hubballi also has an art gallery which will be made available free to artists to exhibit their paintings.
