Although the drainage system of all the wards was cleaned, it was said that if any area is waterlogged due to heavy downpours, the matter will be discussed and resolved. The issue of Sashi Bhushan Pandey, who has built a residential structure in a no-development zone on a hillock at Opem, also came up for discussion. The panchayat said that it had not granted permission and had denied electricity and water connections after the inspection. He allegedly obtained approval through political influence. The panchayat has filed a case in the district court and now plans a fresh inspection. The gram sabha was presided over by sarpanch Savita Tawadkar.
