Police launch single-window system to fast-track industrial grievances

The announcement was made during an industry-police meet named “Gurgaon Industry-Police Dialogue 2026” organized by the Progressive Federation of Trade and Industry

Gurgaon: In an effort to strengthen industrial harmony, the police department announced the creation of a single-window mechanism to address industry-related issues swiftly.

Karan Goyal, deputy commissioner of police (west), was appointed as the nodal officer to ensure faster coordination between industrial units and the police.The announcement was made during an industry-police meet named “Gurgaon Industry-Police Dialogue 2026” organised by the Progressive Federation of Trade and Industry to reinforce industrial peace and law and order in the city.The event, where industry leaders, police officials and the labour department came together, aimed to establish stronger coordination among the industrial sector, police administration and the labour department.

The meeting was significant in light of the recent labour unrest and protests in Manesar over wage hikes.Police commissioner Vikas Arora said a single-window system is being developed to ensure quick and effective support for industrial units. “All issues would be addressed seriously, and the police would stand shoulder to shoulder with the industry,” he said.“Gurgaon’s industrial growth depends on peace and law and order.

The objective of the police is not just enforcement of law, but to work together with industries to create a safe and trustworthy environment,” Arora added.Reassuring industry representatives, he said the police are continuously enhancing modern and citizen-centric services. “The 112 emergency helpline has been further strengthened, and special cyber cells have been reinforced to tackle cybercrime.” He also highlighted initiatives such as dedicated patrolling units for women’s safety, CCTV surveillance in sensitive areas and online complaint systems.
