Rebel Star Prabhas's 46th birthday marks the 19th anniversary of his 2006 film 'Pournami'. The musical drama, also starring Trisha Krishnan and Charmme Kaur, is being re-released. Charmme Kaur shared fond memories of the film and the enduring bond with Prabhas and Trisha, highlighting the movie's themes of tradition and love.

Rebel Star Prabhas is currently celebrating his 46th birthday. On the same day, his 2006 Telugu period musical drama 'Pournami' has also completed 19 years since its original release. The film also stars Trisha Krishnan and Charmme Kaur in key roles.The makers of the film are bringing it back to the big screen. Directed by Prabhu Dheva, the film is a soulful blend of devotion, tradition, and love, set against the backdrop of the 1960s.

Taking to her social media handle, Charmme Kaur, who played Chandrakala, the younger sister of Trisha's titular character, shared an emotional post recalling her journey with 'Pournami'. "Pournami, a film which is very very close to all of us, is re-releasing today on our darling Prabhas's birthday," she wrote, adding, "I still remember each and every moment so strong and so beautiful, one of my best memories I have with Pournami.

Charmme also spoke of the bond the cast shared. "All of us, Prabhas, Prabhu Dheva sir, Trisha, we're still close friends even after all these years. That's the best part of this film," she added.

About the film 'Pournami'

In 'Pournami', Prabhas portrayed Kesava, a dance instructor who helps Chandrakala (Charmme) come of age and embrace her family's temple dance tradition. The story beautifully captures themes of sacrifice, love, and legacy.

Although the film didn't fare as expected at the box office upon release, it earned praise.'Pournami' also marked the second and final collaboration between Prabhas and Charmme after 'Chakram'.Currently, Charmme is active in the film industry as a producer, co-producing her next project with her husband and filmmaker
